So right now I find myself continuing to code and develop a new website for a current client. This website is being developed from the ground up based off of the WordPress CMS due to its extensive functionality and scope for expansion. That and the concept of it would be most beneficial to the client and their end users in the long term when considering effeciency and speed of use when navigating throughout their website.

That being said I find myself tasked with the requirement of overhauling their backend dashboard, functionality and user experience which means becoming familar with dirty snippets of code and I just have to express how easy I’m finding it; in fact I’m loving it. Take the dashboard widget I wish to incorperate, I’m blown away by the fact I can achieve this requirement and it inclusion by simply writing 11 lines of source code – Here take a look:

add_action('wp_dashboard_setup', 'my_custom_dashboard_widgets');
function my_custom_dashboard_widgets() {
global $wp_meta_boxes;
wp_add_dashboard_widget('custom_help_widget', 'Theme Support', 'custom_dashboard_help');
function custom_dashboard_help() {
echo '<p>Welcome to Custom Blog Theme! Need help? Contact the developer <a href="">here</a>. For WordPress Tutorials visit: <a href="" target="_blank">InvolveJohn</a></p>';
Its times like this where I really do love what I do and well I continue to do it and keep the fire burning inside.
